Look back at the CONCORDIA Open Door 2021

In its third edition, Concordia Open Door (COD) continued the series of annual meetups for the European heterogenous cybersecurity community.

If you’ve never heard about it, it’s time to be aware that CONCORDIA is organizing these events to connect all the cybersecurity stakeholders in Europe to create valuable exchanges between academia, industry, public bodies, and policymakers. You can learn about the first two editions here:

New releases of KYPO CRP significantly improve user experience and fix Log4Shell

  • A brand-new release 21.12 of the KYPO Cyber Range Platform brings redesigned sandbox topology! The platform is now prettier, and the interaction is simplified.

New Secondments started from Beia Con. to UPRC

New secondments started from BEIA to UPRC for Mari-Anais Sachian, Gabriel Petrescu. Mari-Anais and Gabriel were welcomed by Aristeidis Farao and met with the UPRC Campus team.

 

 

New Developments on the Implementation of the Context-Awareness

Giorgio Bernardinetti and Ivan Palama, who are secondees from CNIT to FOGUS, are working together with Aristeidis Farao, former secondee, to improve the implementation of context-awareness. In particular, they are trying to transform the standalone implementation to a new one that can be assessed against various testbeds (simulation or real on).

New Secondment for Christos Fakitsas at BEIA Con.

New secondment for Christos Fakitsas has started on the 7th of October at BEIA Consult in Bucharest, Romania. Christos is an early-stage researcher from the University of Piraeus and was welcomed by management and briefed on the company’s premises and it’s activities on his first day as a secondee.

 

 

New Secondment for Michail Bampatsikos at BEIA Con.

Michail Bampatsikos, an early-stage researcher at the University of Piraeus from Greece, started his secondment on the 4th of October at BEIA Consult in Bucharest, Romania. The secondee was welcomed by management and employees of the company in his first days in Bucharest and was familiarized with the company’s offices.

 

 

SealedGRID on European Researchers’ Night

SealedGRID participated in an annual event on September 24 and 25 entitled European Researchers’ Night 2021. The initiative aims to bring closer the audience with the researchers and to discover the fascinating world of science in a fun and interactive environment.

New Joint Publication from BEIA and UPRC

Researchers from BEIA and UPRC conducted a research entitled “Secure and Interoperable Platform for Smart GRID Applications” which is a joint scientific publication and belongs to the Special Issue: State-of-the-Art Sensors Technology in Romania 2021.

Future Events

Quick and efficient management of ongoing incidents are paramount factors to consider when designing a SOC. To this end, the SOCCRATES platform provides with a flexible approach based on customizable workflows and the integration of specific security tools. This webinar will demostrate how the SOCCRATES platform manages incidents notified from the security monitoring systems deployed in an infrastructure, from incident analysis to containment and supported by the orchestrator of several different tools.

In order to ensure that the SOCCRATES platform is fit for purpose, the project will carry out three pilots to validate the platform in realistic environments. This webinar will show results and experiences from the second pilot, in which the complete SOCCRATES platform was validated in realistic (on-site) environments at Vattenfall, mnemonic and Shadowserver.
