Actions for EU-US Cyber Dialogue

The “Actions for EU-US Cyber Dialogue” is part of the project’s contribution to transatlantic cybersecurity discussions. It outlines potential topics for EU-US collaboration in the health, maritime and finance sectors as well as the challenges faced in these areas. The document also provides actions to enhance EU-US cooperation in these sectors in the short-term and provides an overview of the key cybersecurity policy areas — standards and certification, data protection and privacy and public-private partnerships — that impact bilateral cybersecurity dialogues.

The book The Ethics of Cybersecurity discusses the full plethora of ethical aspects of cybersecurity and has a strong practical focus, including case studies that outline ethical dilemmas in cybersecurity and guidelines and other measures to tackle those dilemmas. The book is published open access and is freely available for everybody.

CANVAS briefing packages

The CANVAS Briefing Packages are a set of summarized, easily digestible information on challenges as well as possible, value-driven solution approaches linked to European cybersecurity policy. Addressing mainly (but not exclusively) EU and national policy makers, they provide guidance for decisions in this area. They discuss the following challenges: 1) Achieving Trust in EU Cybersecurity. 2) Cybersecurity and the European Data Protection Framework. 3) All Fundamental Rights are relevant for Cybersecurity.

Data Valuation Portal

The Data Valuation Portal informs users on how advertisers target users, the kinds of personal information available on the ad-market, and the financial value of it. For this purpose, the back-end crawlers collect bidding data from four major advertising platforms using a combination of targeting options provided by the platforms. Interested user can select one of the advertising platforms and choose a combination of demographic and behavioral data that describe a given online user, then the portal displays the monetary value of that profile and its evolution over time.
