PROJECT OF THE WEEK - mF2C

This week's Cyberwatching.eu Project of the Week features mF2C project (Towards an Open, Secure, Decentralized and Coordinated Fog-to-Cloud Management Ecosystem).

In the current era, emerging technologies and the explosion of enterprise data is becoming an inherent strength enabling more experimentation and faster result which can boost performance and productivity for organisations across Europe. The innovative European Security Certification Framework

In recent years the ICT market has evolved toward a cloud-based approach. This shift together with the rapidly changing legal and regulatory landscape has heavily impacted security assurance, governance and compliance. The growth of cloud services poses challenges to both cloud users and cloud service providers (CSPs). Potential customers are prevented from adopting cloud services due to concerns about transparency, security and privacy, as well as confusion over the plethora of certification schemes.

PROJECT OF THE WEEK - EU-SEC

This week's Cyberwatching.eu Project of the Week features The European Security Certification Framework (EU-SEC).

Europeans have set high standards for cybersecurity and digital privacy. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), introduced in May 2018, provides new rules to give citizens more control over their personal data, and a competitive edge to compliant business. The National and Information Security (NIS) Directive on the other hand, is the cornerstone of the EU’s cybersecurity architecture. It provides legal measures to boost the overall level of cybersecurity in the EU.
