Justina Bieliauskaite is a Project Management of the European DIGITAL SME Alliance. She is responsible for drafting and implementing numerous EU funded projects. At the moment, Justina is responsible for cyberwatching.eu, UNICORN, eCF Alliance and SIGHT projects.
In addition, Justina is leading some of the DIGITAL SME’s policy initiatives related to the cybersecurity, data economy, digital taxation, ICT skills, social justice and copyrights.
Before joining DIGITAL SME, Justina has obtained two Master degrees (cum laude) in political science and international relations from the universities of Leiden and Vilnius. She has been responsible for policy analysis and project coordination in the public sector (Ministry of Education of the Republic of Lithuania), as well as in different non-profit organisations based in Lithuania and Belgium.
Lina Jasmontaite joined a PhD program at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in September 2016. Currently, she works on the Horizon 2020 project titled "Constructing an Alliance for Value-driven Cybersecurity" (CANVAS). She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E, IAPP). After obtaining an LLM in Law and Technology (cum laude) at Tilburg University (The Netherlands), she completed the European Commission traineeship program at the European Data Protection Supervisor. She worked as a legal intern in a Brussels-based European privacy and data security practice in 2013. She worked as a legal researcher at the Leuven University (CiTiP) in 2014-2016. Her research interests include protection of human rights, regulation of new technologies and cybersecurity.
Nicholas Ferguson, Digital Communications Strategist & Project Manager. Nicholas has an MSc in Educational Management and a BA Hons in Politics and Sociology. He is the coordinator of the Common Dissemination Booster (CDB) as well as the coordinator of cyberwatching.eu. Previously, he was the coordinator of the CloudWATCH2 project and deputy coordinator of CloudWATCH, SLA-Ready, SIENA and OGF-Europe. He excels in building & promoting innovative tools and services in the ICT innovation landscape. His work focuses on raising awareness of novel tools and services in ICT, in the private, especially SMEs and public sectors as well as providing contributions to the adoption of ICT Standards. Since its launch in 2009, Nicholas managed the Cloudscape Series, www.cloudscapeseries.eu that grew from a funded initiative by the EC to becoming a self-sustaining event attracting international thought leaders in the cloud space in Europe. Nicholas has also played an instrumental role in the evolution of the yearly concertation meetings of the CloudWATCH & CloudWATCH2 projects.

The EC-funded H2020 project cyberwatching.eu has launched the GDPR Temperature Tool, to help European SMEs understand just how at risk they are to sanctions or fines. By answering a set of questions on data processing activities, the tool provides an indication, or temperature, of a company’s risk to sanctions. The higher the temperature, the higher the risk. In addition, a free a customised set of practical and actionable recommendations is provided.
