The aim of the project HWSec is to use the features of modern processors for more IT security. There are two approaches to the project.
On the one hand, security features of existing and medium-term available processors are investigated. New technologies from leading manufacturers offer promising opportunities that can be used to secure a system.
On the other hand, the project partners are investigating the extent to which software already established security mechanisms can be supported by the hardware and made more efficient.
The focus is on mechanisms to ensure the integrity of data and processes and to detect software anomalies.
Both approaches will be evaluated in demonstrators for safety, efficiency and practicability.
On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
