C4e - CyberSecurity, CyberCrime and Critical Information Infrastructures Center of Excellence

Date:
01/01/2018 to 31/12/2018

The goal of C4e is to achieve a state where it will be able to respond complexly and synergistically to the demand for addressing the specific security needs of the partners with the involvement of the results of their own multidisciplinary research.

Partial Objectives of the project:

  1. Enhancement of Research Performance. The goal is the unique position of the Center to stabilize, strengthen and broaden the scope of research and international cooperation. This will create an excellent center capable of covering cyber security research agenda horizontally in the areas of cyber security, critical infrastructure protection, cybercrime and cyber defense, as well as vertically on a legal, organizational and technical level. The center will also have a unique position at the international level.
  2. Strengthen Infrastructure to Support Research. In order to support the achievement of objective 1, partial effective and efficient investments will be implemented. These include, among others, the reconstruction and modernization of premises at Masaryk University for the location of technological means (ie the construction of a secure data room) and the reconstruction of the background and space of the research team's offices. In the field of instrumental investment, it is the purchase of the necessary equipment in research programs.
  3. Expanding and Strengthening Research Teams. One of the aims of the project is to stabilize and expand the research team. This will create a space for the development of current research activities as well as for the expansion of the research agenda by strengthening the team with new excellent researchers and promising young scientists.
