AEGIS discusses EU-US cybersecurity cooperation at CONNECT University Summer School

The AEGIS project will discuss the current state of EU-US cybersecurity cooperation at the CONNECT University Summer School in Brussels on June 25. The consortium will be part of the “International cybersecurity challenges” session.

Project members will speak about each region´s priorities and highlight the areas where collaboration already exists. Additionally, AEGIS will speak about the potential for greater cooperation in three key sectors: finance, health and maritime. The project recently presented its “Actions for EU-US Cyber Dialogue” to the European Commission, which lays out a series of guidelines to foment a great harmonization in cyber policy between the EU and the US.

The CONNECT University Summer School, which will begin on June 24 and run until July 5, brings together high level cybersecurity and digital privacy experts from academia, industry and various EU institution. The event is in its fourth year. CONNECT University is an initiative from the European Commission´s Directorate General on Communication Networks, Content and Technologies (DG CONNECT).
