Project Description:
The project partners are developing a solution that will allow users of secure cloud services to rely on the electronic identities of the partners involved.
They are exploring a method that uses identity cards to allow people to identify each other securely without the cloud provider knowing their identities. Instead of the cloud provider, a trusted third party takes over the verification of the identities. In addition, the verifi-eID system should also be able to verify the electronic identities of legal entities and digital objects such as documents or images.
The aim of the intended method is also to obtain legal certainty when verifying the identities.
The methods to be developed will be integrated in a demonstrator to test the applicability of the technically and legally safe procedures in different application scenarios.
On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
