Hermeneut project at Cybertech Tel Aviv 2019

Cybertech is the cyber industry’s foremost B2B networking platform conducting industry-related events all around the globe, the go-to place to learn all about the latest technological innovations, threats, and solutions to combating threats within the global cyber arena. Featured topics cover a wide range of sectors such as AI, IoT, privacy and GDPR, data protection, Identity Trust, cyber for the health, insurance, retail, railways, aviation and more.

Hermeneut recently joined 15,000 attendees from 80 different countries taking part into the Cybertech Tel Aviv conference and exhibition, held in Israel on the 28-30th of January 2019. Team member ELTA/IAI hosted Hermeneut in its exhibition booth, where the project displayed the video on the dynamic cybersecurity risk assessment tool that you can watch below. The video was displayed at the booth and presented by the ELTA/IAI Cyber Division personnel, who engaged with visitors to further clarify the importance of Cyber Risk Assessment as well as the Hermeneut methodology shown in the video.

The rise in both the scale and severity of recent cyberattacks demands new thinking about cybersecurity risk and the mitigation and transfer of that risk. Cyber insurance is one potential way to manage risk by transferring damage liability, but the cyber insurance market is immature and the understanding and actuarial knowledge of cyber-risk is currently underdeveloped.
