PRIVACY FLAG - Enabling Crowd-sourcing based privacy protection for smartphone applications, websites and Internet of Things deployments

Privacy Flag (PF) combines crowdsourcing, ICT technology and legal expertise to protect citizen privacy when visiting websites, using smart-phone applications, or living in a smart city leveraging user-friendly solutions provided as a smart phone application, a web-browser add-on and a public website. It develops a highly scalable privacy monitoring and protection solution as well as a global knowledge database of identified privacy risks, together with online services to support companies and other stakeholders in becoming privacy-friendly. Furthermore, it collaborates with standardization bodies and it disseminates towards the public and specialized communities (such as ICT lawyers, policy makers and academics).

PROMETHEUS - PRivacy preserving pOst-quantuM systEms from advanced crypTograpHic mEchanisms Using latticeS

PROMETHEUS deals with privacy-preserving cryptographic primitives and protocols in the post-quantum setting. The project aims at efficient quantum-resistant solutions. It deals with both theoretical aspects (provable security under well-studied hardness assumptions) and practical ones (efficient implementations, resistance to side-channel attacks).

PROTASIS - Restoring Trust in the Cyber Space: A Systems Security Proposal

We this project we address these cybersecurity issues by fostering collaborations via supporting researchers from European institutes to spend time with their American counterparts in top universities. We focus our research efforts on both advanced attacks (e.g., exploits, malware, and exfiltration techniques), and defenses (e.g., developing secure software and protecting resource-constrained devices).

PROTECTIVE - Proactive Risk Management through Improved Cyber Situational Awareness

PROTECTIVE is a system for proactive risk management through improved situational awareness. The system is intended for National Research Education Network (NREN) Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) initially to understand, correlate, prioritize and share cyber threat intelligence for enhanced decision-making capabilities.

ReCRED - From Real-world Identities to Privacy-preserving and Attribute-based CREDentials for Device-centric Access Control

ReCRED will help in generating a tangible impact on the market since it will focus on demonstrating the viability of Device Centric Authentication as an aggregator for both account-based as well as attribute-based access control with associated very well specified business and exploitation plans.

SAFERtec - Security Assurance FramEwoRk for neTworked vEhicular teChnology

The assurance of security, privacy, reliability and safety features is key-point to unlock the enormous potential that the connected vehicles systems paradigm i.e., the dynamic Cyberphysical system of highly-equipped infrastructure-connected vehicles with numerous third-party components, can offer towards safer transportation.

Creating trust in wireless solutions and increasing their social acceptance are major challenges to achieve the full potential of the Internet of Things (IoT). Therefore, SCOTT – Secure COnnected Trustable Things, a pan-European effort with 57 key partners from 12 countries (EU and Brazil), will provide comprehensive cost-efficient solutions of wireless, end-to-end secure, trustworthy connectivity and interoperability (Technology Readiness Level 6-7) to bridge the last mile to market implementation.
